Born into a family of musicians and raised in Fort Payne, AL (home to country super group Alabama) Singer/Songwriter Sean Rivers' path to music was paved the day he was born. Writing songs ranging from love to heartbreak, party time to real life, Sean's songs have struck a chord with people from all walks of life. The Sean Rivers Band is known for their over the top, fast paced, energetic live shows. Consisting of Andrew Paul (Bass), Andy Jefferson (Guitar), and Jon Dodd (Drums), the bands vast versatility, crowd participation antics, and sing along songs keep their audience upbeat, entertained, and on the dance floor.

Over the last decade, the singer/songwriter has played countless venues across the southeast, opening for Billboard #1 hit recording artists, Jerrod Niemann and Justin Moore, as well as Grammy nominee’s Pam Tillis, Keith Anderson, Rhett Akins, and Greg Barnhill. He has also shared the stage with Top Ten Nashville Songwriters, Randy Houser, Mark Collie, Crystal Shawanda, James Blanc, and Average Joe Recording Artist Corey Smith. Rivers has also played shows with several reality show stars such as American Idol’s Bucky Covington, Nashville Star winner Angela Hacker and C.M.T.'s Next Big Superstar Runners Up, Steven Clawson and Danielle Lauderdale.

In the wake of The April 27th storms that swept through Alabama, Sean, a former University of Alabama student and Tuscaloosa, AL resident, penned 'Mind on Tuscaloosa', a song dedicated to his late friend Loryn Brown (killed in the storm) and the city he calls home. The song went "viral", receiving over 13,000 hits in its first day. The song became a “grass roots” hit with radio air play across the state and television publicity world wide. The success of the song led to Sean's music being featured on shows such as Good Morning America and CNN Morning Express with Robin Meade. The ‘Mind on Tuscaloosa’ single is available for digital download at all major retailers with all proceeds going to The Loryn Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fund has already reached $80,000 and is still growing.

Sean's debut, full length, studio album, 2 a.m. was released on March 17th, 2012. The album was recorded at Tree House Studio in Phoenix, Arizona. The album was produced and engineered by Matthew Luckett (Evanescence), Phil Nichols (Fleetwood Mac, Robert Cray, The Killers, Michelle Branch, Smashmouth). The album is filled with 13 tracks which are all stories from Rivers’ personal life. Rivers co produced, and wrote every track on the album and played guitar on several. The album is currently available on Itunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, and most major online retailers.
