Soloists, Duos & Trios

Throughout the history of music there have always been a few musicians that really stood out from the pack and performing as a solo, duo or trio has allowed them to shine and showcase their talents. Louis Armstrong was the first artist to do a horn solo. Who could forget duets like Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross’ “Endless Love” or the country classic “Islands in the Stream” from Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton? Famous trios like the Bee Gees and the Police are great examples of what combined musical abilities can produce.

Solo artists include vocalists, pianists, classical guitar players, violinists or all inclusive one-man bands. Duets can consist of many combinations such as a violin/cello; piano/violin, two violins, piano/vocalist, and guitar/vocalist just to name a few. Trios could mean you add a third instrument making a violin/viola/cello trio or add a vocalist to a piano/guitar combination. The sky’s the limit and you choose what combination you would like to add just the touch of class you’re looking for at a cocktail hour, during a dinner or for your networking event.
