Terry Lee and the GTs

Artist ID: 2293

One of the south's most popular groups. Terry Lee and the G.T's were formed in 1988. With the same five original members, they may have broken the all-time rock and roll record for personnel stability. These all-pro players perform a huge variety of party music from the past five decades. The band features Terry Lee on lead vocals and harmonica, Tommy Vickery lead and background vocals, bass guitar and guitar David Haney on drums , percussion and lead and background vocals, Dave Harrington on guitar and lead and background vocals and Mark Denning on various keyboards and bass. Mark is also able to play dynamic horn parts on his keyboards. The band also features some of the tightest vocal harmonies you will hear this side of a doo-wop concert.

So what do they play? Terry Lee says " we feature anything from sophisticated dinner and cocktail music by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Harry Connick Jr. and Van Morrison to Classic soul, Motown, Funk, classic rock, 80's rock and Carolina beach music. You may hear Lynyrd Skynyrd at one point, then the Temptations next." Terry Lee and the GTs is well known for working with the client to make the entire event a success. With years of experience, the band long ago realized that nothing else matters, but what the client wants. If you are interested in a band that likes to rock your house, look no further than Terry Lee and the G.T'S for your next wedding or corporate party.

Even better than last year. The Fox let them crank it up and turn it loose and they did… we had to chase people out of there when our time ran out.

Let me just say YOU GUYS ROCKED! We were so excited to have you apart of our most special day! We have received so many phone calls asking 'where did you find these guys?!?' you really added an extra touch that we hoped people would walk away from the reception and say 'WOW' and you and your band did exactly that! Please let me know how we may be of any assistance in promoting you guys...word of mouth in SC has already started! :) Thank you so much for making our reception so fun and memorable especially for Patrick and I. All the best to you and your band!

Terry Lee was awesome! We had so much fun. Also we discovered that Terry Lee and my dad are basically twins! It was hilarious to see them together! Thanks for all your help with planning!

I can't tell you how awesome Terry Lee & the GT's were.....we had people dancing on the dance floor who I've never seen dance before in my life (including my dad...which was sort of nice, since he was the one paying...). In fact, the only thing I wished was that the dancefloor was larger. I heard alot of comments throughout the night on how much everyone loved the band - and I still am. I even have a friend who may want to use them for her wedding in November. They were exactly everything I was hoping for and then some. In fact, Billy and I were planning on emailing or calling Terry to let him know how much we loved them and to thank them for being such a joy to work with and have at our reception. Since the band is really the only entertainment we had for the reception, it made a big difference in the overall "success" of the party. Thank you so, so much for recommending them. Best decision I made regarding this reception.

The event was a resounding success thanks in great part to the performance by Terry Lee & the G.T.'s. The band had a vast selection of music, pleasing to all musical tastes. The students, as well as faculty/staff in attendance received the band enthusiastically. Terry Evans and the band members arrived at the location exactly as scheduled and were very fun to work with. Their appearance, stage presence, and instrumentation were phenomenal.

I just wanted to send you this letter to let you know how much I enjoyed meeting you and working with you at The World's Largest Super Bowl Party. Your willingness to flow with the chaos went a long way toward making my job that much easier...You are a pleasure to work with and I hope we get a chance to work together again.

Alex and I are preparing to leave for our honeymoon tomorrow to Mexico, but I wanted to write to tell you that we were SO HAPPY with our rockin' wedding reception on Saturday. The band was one of our best choices by far. Thanks so much for all of the awesome entertainment!
Malia Barnett

I just wanted to thank you and the rest of the band for ensuring that my wedding reception was a blast. I don't think it could've been more fun and I so appreciate all that you did to ensure that the evening was perfect. The song selection was great and I have had so many people tell me how much they loved you guys. As you saw, I didn't want to leave and they had to pry me off the dance floor to get me out the door! I definitely hope to hear and see you guys again very soon. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for making the night so special. It truly couldn't have been any better.
Whitney

Terry Lee was a pleasure to work with and did everything he could to make us happy. They were completely entertaining. I am still hearing about what a great band we had!
