Sleeping Booty has performed before live audiences throughout the U.S. and for such major corporations as GlaxoSmithKline, RJ Reynolds, Anheuser Busch, UCB Pharmaceuticals, SAS, Toyota, and Volvo. They also have opened up for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artists Parliament/Funkadelic, disco kings KC and the Sunshine Band, The B52s, Earth Wind & Fire, and Chicago.
In the summer of 1999, the Bootyship left Planet Lovetron with a mission of funkatizing the entire galaxy. As fate would have it, the spacecraft broke down in a cornfield outside of Raleigh, NC. The part needed to repair the Bootyship was 26 million light years away, so they focused on their mission in a much smaller market - Earth.
The crew dubbed themselves Sleeping Booty and loyal legions followed wherever they went. The band of amiable musicians have turned CEOs, PHDs, MBAs, CPAs, PDAs, VCRs, DVDs, SOBs, and UFOs (un-funky objects) into unstoppable dancing machines. The 10 piece band brings a consistent high energy show with custom-made outfits, an explosive horn section (The Backside Horns), lush vocals, and dynamic interactive choreograhped showmanship.
The band has been known to go for three hours straight putting energized crowds in a dance trance that they never fully recover from. Call East Coast Entertainment for a close encounter of the funky kind with the unforgettable inter-planetary Sleeping Booty band.
Colby -
Hats off to you and the entire band for Saturday's show at the Brady 45th event. Every single one of you, from drums to bass to horns to sound and lighting, were outstanding. I had a ball myself, but more importantly every single person there was highly impressed. So, thank you, thank you, thank you for creating an atmosphere that will linger in our minds for years to come!
We had a videographer and a photographer on site (sorry if they got up in your face too much) - but I will have some incredible band footage that I'll forward to you - hopefully you can use it.
Thanks for having fun, being professional, doing what you do! You guys were awesome.
Thanks so very much,
Crystal Earley Davis
