Matthew - I wanted to write you back and tell you how much fun we had with Shimmer at the Vandever wedding on June 25, 2011. The band was everything we could have asked for. They were true professionals. The evening flowed as well as it could have. They did a good job of letting the party come to them as the night progressed, then once everyone was ready, the band totally won the crowd over. We are very happy with our decision to use Shimmer and would recommend them to anyone thinking of using a band for their reception. Our crowd was about 50/50 young to old, but from the looks of the dance floor, everyone was having a blast. They played a wide range of music like we requested so there was something for everyone. We were impressed with their musical talent as well as their ability to interact with the crowd. The musicians were very talented and the singers were very versatile. All band members were very friendly. We have been told my numerous guests how amazing the band was and that we had the most fun wedding they had ever been to. Thanks for referring them to us. Since the party the guests have raved about how great you guys were and how great the music was that night. Retirement Party
Dear Jay - We just wanted to take a minute to thank you personally for all of your hard work and performance during our 15th Annual Gala. The event was a great success, and we've received much positive feedback from the attendees. The music was perfect and the musicians were adored by our guests. Dear Matthew and Shimmer - David, Emily, and our Families and Guests wanted to thank you so much for being a part of executing our perfect wedding. Matthew - I am thrilled to tell you about them! WE COULD NOT HAVE HOPED FOR A BETTER CELEBRATION LEAD BY SHIMMER MUSIC!! They were all professional and personable. Jay went out of his way to craft the playlist exactly to suit our ideas. There were musically superb, brought incredible energy to the dance floor, and interacted with everyone in a way that was engaging but not over the top. They absolutely met all of our expectations and actually far exceeded them. We got numerous enthusiastic comments about how great they were from all ages present. I also want you to know that Jay brought extra PA equipment and the group spent a little extra time helping provide sound support for the area where the ceremony was held. While he and I had talked about this in advance, he was cheerful and willing and this was outside of the requirements of the contract. I would give them the highest possible recommendation and would be happy to provide any more testimonials you might need. Lauren and Denton are on their honeymoon but I know everything I have said speaks for them too. Thanks for checking in. I only hope I have a chance to hire them again sometime.

I did not want anyone "staying seated at their table" for the whole night which is why I really wanted a band, and they accomplished my goal for sure! Everyone danced the night away and I thoroughly enjoyed them as I think everyone did! They played a well rounded bit of music (something for everyone) and accomodated my request of Brown Eyed Girl when I asked for it so they get an A+ from me!!!
I will def. recommend them to others as well as your services.
