Peace-&-Love, a North Carolina based band is quickly gaining recognition for intense musical energy, versatile vocals, sensational style and driving rhythms. Peace-&-Love is an experience that has to be shared. They allow the audience to become absorbed by their energy and style. Peace-&-Love is a six piece outfit with guitar, sax, bass, keyboards, drums, and outstanding vocals. These musicians have been brought together to do one thing: PERFORM FOR YOU!
Rudi G. Meeks (bass & back vocals), is an inspiring performer. As a teenager, Rudi was one of the founders of the Voltage Brothers. Rudi's talent contributed to three albums with the group and collaboration on their original work. Rudi has performed with such talents as Teddy Pendergrass, The O'Jays, Gladys Knight, and many others. Rudi took on many responsibilities while he was with Voltage from arranging sets to the overall managing of the band. Rudi is a lover of all styles of music and it shows with each performance. As a performer, Rudi gives the audience what they want to see and hear.
Jody Bo Gholson (vocals), was born in Hampton Roads, Virginia. As a child his first experience with music was from the church choir. The church taught him diversity and strength. Jody joined the high school choir, which allowed him to experiment with all types of music styles. Jody has been performing professionally since 1991, as a singer and dancer. As Jody sings you can see how he allows the music to carry him.
Robert Orazi (keyboard & back vocals), attended Burklee College of music and Craig Najjar School of Music. Robert has worked with various projects over the years expanding his knowledge in all types of music. His experiences range from writing and producing commercials to performing solo.
Stephen Todd (saxophone), a native of Concord, North Carolina, began playing the saxophone at the age of thirteen. Three years later, he began to perform for an audience, and that's when the love of music came to life. Stephen has most recently toured with the gospel play "Lord, Save My Children From Destruction". He has in addition to performing live, recorded with Jem Productions, a recording studio of Concord, North Carolina. Stephen hopes to one day become a national recording artist.
Amp Culbertson (drums & back vocals) comes from a blues and R&B background. A self-styled musician, Amp has also played guitar with a blues band in his hometown of Concord, North Carolina. He has played Charlotte and the surrounding areas for the past ten years.
Lantz Oglesby (guitar) holds a degree from the Musicians Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). While at the Institute, Lantz studied with Norman Brown and Scott Henderson. Upon returning from M.I.T., Lantz performed with various bands allowing him to incorporate many different styles in his musical work.
Hey Ellie!
Melanie can echo my comments, but I can't praise the band enough -- they were absolutely fantastic. So many guests remarked about what a great band it was, and so many guests were dancing the ENTIRE time. It was so much fun.
Rudi was great to work with -- he learned our first dance song (and they did great playing it!), worked with us on a flexible break schedule, and really did a great job managing the crowd.
If there are any other forms or other paperwork to fill out to compliment the band, please let me know. Again, we really loved Peace & Love!

This is incredibly long overdue, but I wanted to send a note of thanks for all of your help with Peace and Love for our wedding.
As She can tell you, they absolutely brought the house down. They were perfect for our party, and so many people have said to us, "Where did you find these guys!?" and "Your band was the best wedding band I've ever seen." I can't thank you all enough for your help in making our wedding all that we had imagined and more.
I hope that this finds you all well, and thank you again for everything.

My wife and I were on the water in New Bern yesterday (7-3), with the soul intention of enjoying the live music. I have to say the Peace & Love Band absolutely made the day. Your combination of genres, the sound system, the vocals, the level of talent, all contributed to a wonderful experience. Thank you so much for an unforgettable day. I wish you all the best of luck in the future and I will be sure to mention your group to everyone I can.

They were wonderful! I really had a good time working with them - very easy to talk to and make sure things went smoothly. And the dancefloor was packed by the end of their second song - that is always a good sign!!! Looking forward to working with them on New Years Eve!

The party was a great success. Peace & Love were awesome!! The music was fab and they were a lot of fun. Some of the girls really liked them. lol. I hope they had as much fun as we did. I would highly recommend them for future events as well. The coordinator at the Club was asking about them for next year. I look forward to working with you in the future. We plan on having this fundraiser on an annual basis. Please let the guys know how much we appreciate them helping with our event.
