Nu-Soul was formed by Shyrod Taylor, the leader of one of the South's most popular bands, Papa-Sol. He has taken the crowd-pleasing formula of Papa-Sol and created a band that is perfect for receptions that may require a smaller size band with a full band sound. Nu-Soul's 5-piece instrumentation also allows you to be flexible with the location of your reception or party. Whether it is a large Country Club Ballroom or a historic manor or even under a tent in your backyard, you and your guests will enjoy Nu Sol's hot sound and lively interaction.

All of the musicians in Nu-Soul have over ten years experience in playing private parties. They specialize in audience participation whether it be your five year old doing the limbo with the bass player or your great grandmother swing dancing to 'Mack the Knife'.

The reason for trying to find them was to tell them just how REALLY great they were at the reception. I have never attended a wedding where it was virtually impossible to find a spot on the dance floor for just about the entire evening. They obviously new how to work and interact with the crowd to build and maintain momentum. In addition to wedding attendees telling me how great the band was, members of the hotel staff were overheard talking about how great the reception was and I am not oblivious to the fact that this was mostly the result of the band. These guys are seasoned professionals that enjoy what they are doing and leave nothing on the table. We could not have been more pleased with Nu Soul and EastCoast Entertainment as the entertainment for our daughter's debutante reception! Jenna fancies herself a singer, and was able to join the band for a couple of songs, and her friend, a budding drummer, also sat in on a piece or two. The song list was perfectly balanced, costumes were just right, and the group was so congenial that we were truly sad to hear the last song and see them go.
