The New Purple Generation (NPG) pays homage to the pop/rock hits of the 1970's, 80's, and 90's. The group is comprised of musicians who grew up in these decades and appreciate the soundtrack it created for them. The NPG started while having fun on "jam nights" around Spartanburg, SC in the mid 90's. After being approached by many local fraternities, the guys decided to get together when the demand called. Realizing the love people shared for pop music throughout that time, the NPG decided to bring back as many memories as loyal music fans could stand in one evening.
