I also saw them a few weeks later at Ashley Leadon and Ryan Smithson's wedding and they were awesome again. "We made the easy decision of selecting NSP from your vast selection of bands after seeing them play at two weddings prior to ours. Both times we saw them perform we were so impressed that we made sure to write down their name for our own wedding! Needless to say we were more than happy with our decision. The band is very professional not only in appearance but in all matters involving arrival times, set up, ect. We had nothing to worry about on our wedding day other than having a good time! We even had a friend play our first dance and the band was more than willing to help with the special set up. The dance floor was packed for almost three and half hours, with the band only taking a short break. They did a great job of reading the crowd and making excellent song selections. They adhered to our "please do not play" list as well as not leaving out any of our favorite songs. We had a "livelier" crowd, and NSP has a great way of playing all of the classic songs as well as newer crowd favorites. We have had many compliments on our band and are more than happy to pass their name on as a much recommended vendor!

Sorry for the delay in getting this to you but things have been a little crazy since the wedding. I just wanted to let you know that NSP was amazing for our wedding. They were extremely professional and made things very easy for everyone on the day of the event. Above and beyond that they made the wedding a truly incredible event for everyone. They were able to read the crowd so well and get everyone involved playing just the right music as the night progressed. I think the best example of this was when I looked out on the dance floor at 10:30 and saw my aunt and uncle on the dance floor where they had been all night and I can honestly say this is the firs time I have ever seen them dance. How good the band was is one of the top comments we keep getting form all of our guests. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for your email. NSP did an amazing job at our wedding. They helped us out during the ceremony as the sound system at the quarry broke and they were very accommodating to my Bestman as he had written a song and used some of their equipment to aid his performance. We've already had loads of compliments for choosing the NSP from lots of our guests. If I were to get married again, I'd definitely use the NewSouthPlayaz, let's just hope I don't! But I will recommend them to my friends and family.

New South Players were amazing! Their voices were perfect, their energy was up and they really played to the crowd. My daughters wedding was mostly young adults but EVERYONE got up to dance. (even the two 89-year-old grandmothers) They played to the energy level of the crowd. But the highlight of the evening was allowing the groom and then his dad play the drums....we were all entertained with an impromptu concert! Everyone loved it! I had more compliments on the band....from young and old! Some of my friends said it was the first wedding they went to that they danced all night. The dance floor was always full. If you want an upbeat, exciting, fun, contemporary band...then NSP is the one!

Thanks for asking us how it went. We really appreciate the post-event contact. NSP was fantastic!!! We had over 1100 people show up to our event, and I heard nothing but praise about the band. They played a very diverse set list and it was well received by our very diverse student body. We will definitely be wanting them to return to another one of our events in the future. Lisa and I had seen NSP a year ago at one of our friend's weddings, and we thought they were great. We immediately thought of them when we were planning our wedding earlier this year, and booked them for our August 25th wedding in Chapel Hill. Our wedding was very formal, and very elegant, with only about 300 of our closest friends and relatives (Hah!). We were sure that most of our close friends would really enjoy the band, but were a little worried (before hand) that some of our older relatives might find the music somewhat young for their tastes. I can't tell you how wrong we were!!!! Everyone at the wedding loved the band, everyone asked us where we found them, and EVERYONE assured us that NSP was one of the best bands they had heard at a wedding. We feel so fortunate to have had them play at our wedding, I just hope they won't mind playing some of our parties in the future (in between selling out concerts)
They did an excellent job mixing classic wedding songs earlier in the evening with more contemporary dance mixes as the night went on.
They also did an excellent job of carrying along the reception events (cake cutting, boquet toss, etc) and provided lively, fun music for everything.
I would reccommend this band to anyone booking an event where people may want to "crank it up" as the night progresses.
