Mr. Potato Head

Artist ID: 794

How many Mr. Potato Head members does it take to rock the house? ONLY 4! And that's no joke! As an accomplished four-piece combo, consisting of guitar, bass, drums and keys, Mr. Potato Head is the ultimate party band whose real secret weapon is its astounding vocal abilities. While stompin' as a four-piece (the standard version), Mr. Potato Head can get completely out of hand when percussionists and horn players (the upgrade versions) start showing up.

Mr. Potato Head has a very carefully selected repertoire ranging from Cole Porter standards to Funkadelic. Though its song list is vast, Mr. Potato Head is always adding new surprises. In virtually any setting, Mr. Potato Head is going to play the right stuff!

Mr. Potato Head members have been affiliated with some of the most prestigious labels in the recording industry. They have served both as artists and in support of other artists for Columbia, Warner Brothers, MCA, Elektra, Polydor, and Alligator Records. This accounts for years spent in recording studios and playing live for audiences all over the world. Collectively its members have played in well over one hundred bands giving them the goods only seasoned pros have to offer. Whatever your occasion may be, this is the band not to overlook.

You guys are so talented and everyone enjoyed every minute of it (including my Mom who didn’t even want a band!) I think I had more fun than anyone and didn’t even want to leave my own reception! Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be?
Kristie Phillips

“I wanted to express how happy we were with Mr. Potato Head, which truly made the reception a fantastic time. I picked the band based on the songlist and recommendations from the website and everything was true to form. I have gotten tons of compliments from guests on the quality and variety of songs that Mr. Potato Head played. Many of the guests said it was the best wedding band they have ever heard. The band was one of the first things that people mentioned when I've talked to them about the reception. Needless to say, Dana and I were thrilled with the evening and very pleased with Mr. Potato Head. I almost wish I had another event to use them!!”
John A Charette

I have to be honest, I was a little apprehensive booking a band that we hadn't heard about previously and who didn't appear to have the showmanship qualities that other bands have....but Mr. Potato Head was WONDERFUL! We couldn't have been happier with them! They were very nice and accommodating AND the band itself was very talented and a tremendous amount of fun! I would definitely recommend them.

I have been to plenty of wedding and dinner-dance functions over the past few years and nothing compares to this group. They really got the party going and can play a great range of music that appeals to people of all ages. They were excellent to work with and their showmanship was superb.

I just wanted to say what a great time I, and everyone else, had Saturday night! We have been doing that event for years now and I swear it has never been that much fun and I think that was all due to you guys! It had a whole new energy and that is just awesome... y'all just make people happy and that is very cool!

We had an awesome time - I wish I had $100 for each time someone has dropped by my office to tell me what a great time they had at the Gala and how much they enjoyed having Mr. Potato Head.

Unbelievable! They were awesome…everyone loved them! We rocked until after midnight. Best decision I made! I hope they had as much fun playing as we did listening and dancing. All our guests raved. They finished the night with Born to Run and everyone went nuts! Great party in big part to them. My sister wants to get them for her 10 anniversary!

I just wanted to write to you guys a huge thanks for playing our wedding and doing such an awesome job. Your selection was right up my alley. From the great swing tunes to the Meters, and even the little Air interlude did not go unnoticed. You did a great job of playing songs everyone knows and can get down to, without playing the same old tired wedding songs. Sarah and I got so many compliments from everyone, young and old alike. And it was also so cool of you all to let my friends and I commandeer the stage for the Michael mini-set. Not many bands would've let us do that. And finally, we would like to thank you for letting Mac go up and sing the first dance for us. Your arrangement was great and you guys sounded terrific (this also goes for the whole evening). You guys are the best and we look forward to seeing you play again soon.
Matt & Sarah McCaughan

You guys were, I dare say, the best wedding band of all time! While your promotional video doesn’t nearly do you the justice that you deserve, we could tell upon first viewing that Mr. Potato Head would offer the kind of musical variety we were looking for. So many people have remarked that they couldn’t remember the last wedding they attended in which everybody seemed to be having such a good time. From Al Green to Neil Diamond, from reggae to funk, we felt like the evening’s entertainment had been tailor-fit to our particular musical tastes, and for that we’ll be forever appreciative. Though our praise may appear a bit over-the-top, the choice of a band for our wedding was one of the only decisions left completely up to us. And since we both love music and enjoy getting out on the dance floor, we knew that a very special band was not only necessary, but essential. Not only did Mr. Potato Head perform to our expectations, you exceeded them about ten minutes into the evening. So thank you so much, not only for being such an incredible group of performers, but for being such a genuinely nice, inviting, and accommodating group of people.

My client was ecstatic! Doug Jervey was extremely helpful in advance and at the show and the venue folks were very happy as well.
