Mr. Potato Head

Artist ID: 794

How many Mr. Potato Head members does it take to "rock the house?"

Only 4!!! But, if more is what you want, you can configure this band any way you wish by adding a horn section, Latin percussion, or even a female vocalist. However, the core 4 members of Mr. Potato Head sing as well as they play and listeners often comment, "I can't believe that so much sound is coming from only 4 musicians!"

Playing from a list of some of the all-time greatest songs, Mr. Potato Head knows what to play, when to play it and how to play it authentically. They can deliver Sinatra with the sophistication of the jazz greats and The Jackson Five with the same infectious groove as Motown's Funk Brothers. When covering Springsteen or The Stones, their raw energy is reminiscent of the punk era. During "Holiday," you may do a double take to see if Madonna just made a guest appearance! Their repertoire contains an unusually wide range of material and it is loaded with unpredictable songs that will add to the uniqueness of your occasion. Whether you're socializing, dining, dancing, or just listening, Mr. Potato Head will do you right!

You might wonder, "Who are these guys?" Members of Mr. Potato Head have been affiliated with some of the most prestigious labels in the recording industry. They have served both as artists, and in support of other artists, on Sony/Columbia, Warner Brothers, MCA, Elektra, Polydor and Alligator Records, which accounts for many years of recording and touring the world. Collectively, its members have played with over 100 bands, representing every style imaginable. This kind of experience is rare and gives them the goods to provide you with musical entertainment that is a "cut above."

As if being exceptional musicians weren't enough, Mr. Potato Head is big on customer service, too. The band will provide excellent communication prior to your event to ensure that all your needs will be met. Whether you request a special song just for your occasion or have special set-up needs, you'll find that Mr. Potato Head is always accommodating.

Imagine hiring a band that not only exceeds your expectations as entertainers, but also provides service with a smile...Choose Mr. Potato Head and that's what you'll get!!!

Mr. Potato Head was great as usual. I would recommend them as the perfect wedding band.

Ellie - I cannot begin to tell you how awesome Mr. Potato Head was!! We had compliments from the guests all night. To give you an example, the band played music during dinner and we had someone say they thought we were playing music over speakers. He could not believe it was a live band. My daughter and her fiance requested a new song for the first dance, "Swept Away" by the Avett Brothers. The bride and groom thought they sang it better than the original artists. They kept the crowd going all night. Everyone wanted to know where we found them! I said you of course. Thank you so much for suggesting Mr. Potato Head. Unbelievable group of artists!!! Truly talented musicians. Thanks,

Hey Ted - Mr.PH was awesome!!!! We have seen them now three times and they only get better and better. Their song list was great and they really know how to play to the audience. We had soooo many compliments on them. Our event planner at the Charlotte City Club said it was one of the best bands that they have had up there in his five years there. He also said he would recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a great band. We have two more daughters that hopefully will get married one day and we would love to use them again! Thanks so much for all your help and please tell them thank you as well!!! - Take care,

I have been to plenty of wedding and dinner-dance functions over the past few years and nothing compares to this group. They really got the party going and can play a great range of music that appeals to people of all ages. They were excellent to work with and their showmanship was superb.

I just wanted to say what a great time I, and everyone else, had Saturday night! We have been doing that event for years now and I swear it has never been that much fun and I think that was all due to you guys! It had a whole new energy and that is just awesome... y'all just make people happy and that is very cool!

I wanted to express how happy we were with Mr. Potato Head, which truly made the reception a fantastic time. I picked the band based on the songlist and recommendations from the website and everything was true to form. I have gotten tons of compliments from guests on the quality and variety of songs that Mr. Potato Head played. Many of the guests said it was the best wedding band they have ever heard. The band was one of the first things that people mentioned when I've talked to them about the reception. Needless to say, Dana and I were thrilled with the evening and very pleased with Mr. Potato Head. I wish I had another event to use them!!

We had an awesome time - I wish I had $100 for each time someone has dropped by my office to tell me what a great time they had at the Gala and how much they enjoyed having Mr. Potato Head.

You all were absolutely amazing!! Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed our reception... and you all were about 98% of their reasoning. That evening was SOOO unbelievably hot yet people were still out on the floor dancing until the very last song (even my 80 year old grandmother). You were super professional and easy to work with, played a great range of music and are fantastic musicians. We couldn't ask for anything more. Again, thank you so much for everything. You guys were hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We couldn't have been happier.
Jennifer Reynolds

Unbelievable! They were awesome?everyone loved them! We rocked until after midnight. Best decision I made! I hope they had as much fun playing as we did listening and dancing. All our guests raved. They finished the night with Born to Run and everyone went nuts! Great party in big part to them. My sister wants to get them for her 10 anniversary!
Andy Fink

I just wanted to write to you guys a huge thanks for playing our wedding and doing such an awesome job. Your selection was right up my alley. From the great swing tunes to the Meters, and even the little Air interlude did not go unnoticed. You did a great job of playing songs everyone knows and can get down to, without playing the same old tired wedding songs. Sarah and I got so many compliments from everyone, young and old alike. And it was also so cool of you all to let my friends and I commandeer the stage for the Michael mini-set. Not many bands would've let us do that. And finally, we would like to thank you for letting Mac go up and sing the first dance for us. Your arrangement was great and you guys sounded terrific (this also goes for the whole evening). You guys are the best and we look forward to seeing you play again soon.
Matt & Sarah McCaughan

You guys are so talented and everyone enjoyed every minute of it(including my Mom who didn't even want a band!) I think I had more fun than anyone and didn't even want to leave my own reception! Isn't that how it's supposed to be?
Kristie Phillips

You guys were, I dare say, the best wedding band of all time! While your promotional video doesn't nearly do you the justice that you deserve, we could tell upon first viewing that Mr. Potato Head would offer the kind of musical variety we were looking for. So many people have remarked that they couldn't remember the last wedding they attended in which everybody seemed to be having such a good time. From Al Green to Neil Diamond, from reggae to funk, we felt like the evening?s entertainment had been tailor-fit to our particular musical tastes, and for that we?ll be forever appreciative. Though our praise may appear a bit over-the-top, the choice of a band for our wedding was one of the only decisions left completely up to us. And since we both love music and enjoy getting out on the dance floor, we knew that a very special band was not only necessary, but essential. Not only did Mr. Potato Head perform to our expectations, you exceeded them about ten minutes into the evening. So thank you so much, not only for being such an incredible group of performers, but for being such a genuinely nice, inviting, and accommodating group of people.
Lee and Rachael Malkiel

I have to be honest, I was a little apprehensive booking a band that we hadn't heard about previously....but Mr. Potato Head was WONDERFUL! We couldn't have been happier with them! They were very nice and accommodating AND the band itself was very talented and a tremendous amount of fun! I would definitely recommend them.
Theresa

My client was ecstatic! The band was extremely helpful in advance and at the show and the venue folks were very happy as well
