The Mo Money Band has long been one of Charlotte, N.C.'s hottest and most consistent five piece performing bands. The group includes some of the area's top studio musicians/songwriters/producers all of whom have performed with and/or recorded with many national acts. Mo' Money is led by Ziad (Sax, Keys, Purveyor of the Party Jam and Leader Of the Masses on Saturday Night), along with Rodney Shelton (Key Bass, Keys, Background Vocals, Music Director and Crowd Analyzer), Mandyl Evans (Lead Vocals, Dance Floor Carouser), and Michelle Smith (Lead and Background Vocals, Keys, Avid Viewer of "The Bachelor").

Originating in area clubs, Mo Money soon became an instant success for private parties, corporate events, wedding receptions and college events. Their success is due to quality musicianship and an extensive, varied song list which encompasses full repertoires of current dance music hits, 70's, 80's, and pop dance, old school and contemporary R & B, modern jazz instrumentals, oldies, beach, and even a touch of reggae, blues, and alternative rock. They do it all! And prior to your event you will receive a call to discuss details, your favorite music, and all the logistics required for a slammin' party. "We try to be as accommodating as possible to our clients and as accessible as they need us to be to feel comfortable before and during an event. Although, by the fifth phone conversation we require the clients to include a joke before we hang up! J We are all about a good time and a lot of fun!"

"Mo' Money," what can I say? First, the band members are extremely nice people, professional and accommodating to work with (no prima donnas in the group), they engage the audience and, best of all, this bunch can flat-out play. Ziad can blow that saxophone; I'd put him up against anybody. The band was asked to play in a hard-to-get-to, remote venue, an old barn in South Carolina. Their audience was young, old with a few critical musicians in the crowd. They had to play different types of music: a little jazz, and dinner music before the party really got started. Mo' Money was just great, period, simply the best. I didn't even mind paying the bill after their performance, and for an old business coot, that's saying something.

Thank you for your wonderful performance at our daughters wedding. You guys are incredible...super vocals and key boards, great drummer, and a very sexy, jazzy saxophone. As father of the bride I would like to extend a special thanks for learning John Mayer's "Daughters" song for the father/daughter dance. I know you learned some other songs at my daughter's request, but Mayer's song made my day. I told the Events Coordinator at our club we have to hire Mo Money for a future event and I know all of the club members in attendance would second the motion.

Hi Ziad - Just wanted to drop a quick line to say it was great working with you on Leslie and Paul's wedding. Everything seemed to go great, your band did awesome and Leslie definitely has some very talented friends and family. It was a like a little mini concert right here in the club! Wedding Planner

We booked Mo Money for our fall wedding in Asheville, NC and they TOTALLY ROCKED IT!!!!! We chose them based on our booking agent's recommendation and their diverse play list displayed on their web page. However, we had never seen them in person so you could understand we were a bit anxious on how it would turn out... In the weeks prior to the wedding Ziad (the front man for the band) did a great job communicating with us so we could detail how the evening would play out. He worked with us along with the event director to put together the itinerary, introductions, first dances, etc. They even learned the first dances so we didn't have to play them on our i-pod which was great. To say they were the highlight of the night would be an understatement! They did a great job of playing the songs we wanted and mixing it up to keep the party going. Ziad was great at getting everyone on the dance floor and keeping them there, which made it such a fun time. He even came down on the dance floor himself a couple times and jammed out which brought the house down!!!

I would HIGHLY recommend these guys to anyone looking for an enthusiastic, multi-talented band for their event. Ziadwas very friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. If you want your event to be a hit, get MO MONEY, they will not disappoint!!

Wedding

We booked The Mo Money Band for our daughter's wedding reception in June, 2011. Quite simply, they were fantastic! We worked with Ziad ahead of time to give him the general theme of music we wanted. The band was very versatile and could play any style of music we requested from R-B, pop, soul, oldies, and current hits. Their energy and interaction with the guests made the evening fun for everyone. I would definitely book them again and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a band that can make it a very special event.
