Sometimes meteors are mistaken for stars while real stars go unnoticed until you're close enough to see how bright they shine. Michel Jons is that far away star, moving ever closer to the moment in time she claimed long ago. Never mind the spotlight she's bringing her own illuminating talent and powerful voice to enlighten the ears, minds and hearts of the world. Michel is writing her own history due to her ability to own a song. She is an ultimate song stylist inspired by but not emulating the great vocalist from the past and present. Tina, Aretha, Patti, Gladys, Chaka, Billie, Natalie, Etta and even Patsy Cline were major influences for Michel and you can hear them all when she opens her mouth to sing. And sing, she has; 15,000 people at the Narni Music Festival (with William Bell and Trudy Lynne) in Italy, 10,000 at Phillips arena (sang the National Anthem) before an Atlanta Hawks game, 30,000 during the 1996 centennial Olympic Games, 12,000 at the Sweet Auburn Festival and well over 100,000 people when she's performed at the Atlanta Pride Festival (with CeCe Peniston and Debbie Gibson). Large numbers are great but Michel has performed every year for television and movie actress Sela Ward's birthday party at her residence with fifty people in attendance. Michel has opened for: The Gap Band, Howard Hewitt (formerly of Shalamar), Percy Sledge, Chaka Khan and Georgia Music Hall of Fame Inductee "William Bell" during his induction as well as sang background on one of his recent CD releases and toured Italy with him.

I can't thank you and your band enough for your wonderful performance on the 24th at Julia's wedding reception. The bride and groom were thrilled with your music and with the way you kept the crowd so involved. There friends loved it, but so did ours as well. MANY of all ages have said it was the best reception they every attended! Julia also said she thought you all were even better than when we loved you at the Ford wedding 2 years ago! I also appreciated how organized and communicative you were on the front end with me, the bride, and my planner. We all thought you were terrific.

I just wanted to drop a quick word of thanks again to you and your wonderful band. You all provided "a night to remember" for us and we are so appreciative! In years past, we have heard many complaints after the dance that the band was so loud that people couldn't talk or visit, particularly through dinner.
