Ike Reeves

Artist ID: 31988

Ike Reeves started playing music at the age of seven. By thirteen he was in demand playing music for dances and parties. After majoring in music in College he worked for Magnavox to demonstrate their new electronic musical instruments. Then in the Army, Ike played in the Commanding General's Jazz Combo and in the 16-piece dance band. He also performed as a keyboard soloist and was a trombone player in the marching band. Ike produced and wrote special musical and comedy material for several shows presented by the Army. Ike moved to Florida in where he played in several nightclub show bands, co-founding the well known show group 'Trilogy'. At that point he bought his first synthesizers and began developing his One-Man-Orchestra sound. In 1978 he had the rare opportunity to tour Japan and play the $50,000 synthesizer used on recordings by Stevie Wonder and Keith Emerson. Ike then began his solo career, updating and improving his musical equipment, wiring keyboards together by hand so he could play several synthesizers from one keyboard, resulting in a full orchestral sound. Today, he harnesses the most modern musical wizardry to create the sound of a live band right there in the room! Ike provides dance music and entertainment for the finest Country Clubs and for private parties, satisfying the musical tastes of all age groups. Whether you desire upscale background piano jazz or a full party band sound, Ike covers all musical bases to make sure your event is a guaranteed success. From sophisticated jazz to Vegas-style entertainment Ike Reeves is your choice when only the best will do.
