You all did a terrific job keeping the party alive and all friends and family at the reception absolutely loved the music. From the pre-wedding planning to the actual performance, you all were top notch and I could not have asked for a better band. Lewis! I have asked Carter to email you with our "official" feedback, specifically for your website (because he's a much better writer than me), but let me just say..WE LOVED HEARTBEAT OF SOUL. You blew my expectations out of the water and made the reception a blast. I thought ya'll sounded amazing, your energy level was awesome and you really got everyone excited and on the dance floor, even thought it was a dangerous place to be :) My family and almost all my friends were still talking about how great the band was the next day.
I will highly recommend you to anyone I know getting married. Thank you so much for making our wedding reception so much fun!

All the comments I've received about the band were very positive. My daughter and her husband thought they were great and several of the thank you notes we've received from guests specifically noted the band. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and have already been asked for their name several times.

I am a firm believer that a band can make or break an event and without reservation Heartbeat of Soul made our event! I have had more people ask where we found you guys and how to get in touch with you-in fact my next door neighbor who heard you at our daughter's reception just booked you for her daughter's wedding next June in Charleston, SC. Everyone said how fun and upbeat and just downright fabulous the band was. The fact that you really engaged our guests, moved around among them and played just the right mix to keep the party going for old and young people alike is what makes you so very good. I am convinced we could have paid twice as much for a band that would probably would have been half as good as you are. To top it off, Lewis Wilson is the epitome of the perfect band leader-attentive, polite, timely on communication and extremely accommodating within reason. This band will NOT disappoint. Highly recommended!

Lewis / Heartbeat of Soul - Thank you so much for sharing your amazing musical talent with our family and friends during me and Wesley's wedding reception on June 18, 2011! We are still hearing compliments about how you all played really fun music, interacted with everyone in the crowd, and never allowed a dull moment on the dance floor! I greatly appreciate your ability to so seamlessly transition from the wedding party announcements, to our first dance, to the cake cutting, to the congo line, etc. etc.! I felt so confident with you all running the night's 'to-dos' and then playing incredible music in between!

The evening was enchanting. Heartbeat of Soul has always been one of
the kids favorite bands. The grooms father even request an addition set
and fortunately they accepted. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful

We wanted to thank you Lewis, and everyone with Heartbeat of Soul for making our wedding such a wonderful time. Derek and I could not have asked for a better performance by you and your band. Even before the wedding you were in constant contact to make sure everything would go accordingly, and to make sure we had the exact music we wanted. You were reachable whenever I had a question, and that makes such a difference. EVERYONE had a blast, and don't be surprised if you get a few phone calls, because we had repeated requests for your name! "Who is your band?! Where did you find them, they're fabulous!!" The whole band was so lively and energetic and the best part was the interaction with all the guests! You kept everyone dancing all night long with all the classics, and then some! You were so accommodating with our special request during your set break to provide the microphone for our friend to play. It was such a treat and we thank you.
Again, we are truly grateful for all that you did to make our day so special, and for our CD! We listened to it on our honeymoon in Costa Rica!!

Mark and I agreed that we wanted a band at our wedding since weddings with bands are always better. We had no idea that Heartbeat of Soul would blow us away with all the fun they brought to our reception! From the moment they started playing, we had people on the dance floor. Who knew that I would get a workout at my own wedding?! Their enthusiasm got the party started and kept it going till well after the Biltmore was kicking us out. The playlist provided so much variety that all our guests enjoyed themselves till the last song (Shout!). Seeing my 84 year old grandfather on the dance floor during the same songs as my 10 year old cousins is certainly a testament to that. My favorite response from one of our guests came in a text message as we were headed to Hawaii: "Never been to a wedding where the band played Billie Jean... AWESOME"! I couldn't agree more... We've received too many compliments on the band to include in one review.
Picking a band without ever seeing them perform was a risk, but it turned out perfect! Their music on the website doesn't even come close to how great they were live. Lewis is attentive to details and speaking with him on the phone many times before the event put all our worries to rest. He even made the reception extra special for us by playing the Notre Dame fight song during the cake cutting (since we both went to school there). Definitely the "icing on the cake"! We have no reservations in highly recommending Heartbeat of Soul to anyone who wants a memorable event!

Everyone was dancing and they did such a great job of getting the guest involved. Dan and I really loved how they interacted with the crowd. I really can't say enough about how wonderful they were. Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you-still unpacking from the honeymoon. We had a wonderful time with the band! They were fantastic-we loved their spirit, their songs and their performance! Honestly, I could'nt have dreamed of having a better band at my wedding. They danced with the crowd, interacted and had us join them in the singing, and always kept the momentum of the party going. Everyone was dancing most of the night and that was all I wanted! I'm so pleased with their performance and would recommend them to anyone that loves good Motown/soul music with a mix of fantastic classic slow songs. Thanks for everything!!
