GrooveTown performed for my wedding and they were better than I ever could have imagined. Everything was spot-on: Their professionalism, sound, song choices, sound level and balance were perfect. Along with music for the reception, we also had Groovetown play a jazz set for our cocktail hour. We couldn't have hired a better jazz group, and GrooveTown's ability to effortlessly flow from jazz to dance music saved us a ton of headache by not having to hire a second ensemble. I can honestly say that they are the best wedding band I ever have heard. GrooveTown was youthful, yet professional, played old classics and new hits that any age could enjoy.

I just wanted you to know how much everyone enjoyed GrooveTown's music Saturday night at our daughter Jane's wedding. We had so many compliments on it, and we thoroughly enjoyed it ourselves! And I know Ben and Jane were very happy with it. You were so pleasant to deal with, and I know when I told our wedding coordinator that you were really nice and easy to work with, she said "A band that's nice??" It really was a pleasure working with you, and I wish you every success in the future.

WOW, in the past few weeks we have gotten TONS of compliments on your performance. YOU ALL WERE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had an incredible time and so did everyone else .... everyone RAVED about you and your music. My photographers came up to me during the reception to ask who you were as they have heard LOTS of bands, and said they had never heard a group as great as you all. You knew how to keep the crowd interested ... you knew exactly what kind of songs to play. Rodney and I wished we could have danced all night as you all were so great and SO MUCH FUN!!!! We cannot put into words how totally amazing you were. Our families sincerely appreciate the job you did. You all were most professional, fun and sounded amazing!!! Please express our sincere gratitude to everyone in the band!!! Because of your performance our wedding reception was everything we envisioned it would be. You all were a hit. Anyway, our sincere thanks for making our wedding reception most memorable. I hope that friends of ours in the future will use you at their events as my family and I will be highly recommending you to others!!!!

We have been to a lot of weddings and always have a blast. One of my closest friends emailed me after our wedding and said, "We talked all the way home about how that was the most fun we have ever had at wedding." That says a lot--and we owe a big thanks to GrooveTown for helping to make our wedding into a fantastic party. From ages 60 to 16 we had the dance floor rocking all night, including a little something for everyone. Thanks guys

We had a fabulous reception and Groovetown was a hit! We couldn’t have been happier. We’ve also received comments from folks who attended that they enjoyed Groovetown. If you ever need a reference for them give us a call, we have lots of great things to say! Thanks for your help in coordinating everything.

The band was absolutely fabulous!!!! I have had soo many people ask about them….at the party and this week!! You and Groovetown have done a fabulous job! I would defiantly hire them again! They were very professional and I didn’t have to give them any direction…..there strongest feature is the fact that they feed off of the crowd….meaning…they knew when to kick it up a notch…and when to play a slow song! Thank you soo much!

HOW THE BAND INTERACTED WITH GUESTS - GREAT! ... I was pleasantly surprised when they began to play background jazz music for our dinner. I loved their dance music and I was kind of shocked that their background jazz is equal or better than their dance music. They were great at blending into the wall and playing background music during dinner and then kicking it up a notch so people would start dancing… and then later when my college girls (who are now in their mid-30’s) were ready to really get going they humored them by dancing with them. I say this because they were good at READING the crowd. They could tell when they should blend into the background, when they should kick it up, and when the crowd was looking to them for more, they threw in some dance moves and danced a little bit with everyone. They would not have engaged/danced with my guests had the guests not provoked it, they are respectful of the bride & groom & let them take center stage & shine. A couple of my guests were in a band in college and asked if they could sing some song & they played it & let my friends sing it…They really aim to please. We (my groom and I ) are very laid back, so we were lovin’ that they were playing to & with the crowd because we didn’t want to be the center of attention all night. They won’t try to steal any attention away from you and your groom, they’ll follow your lead if you know what I mean. If you want them to blend into the background they will, if you look for more from them, they’ll deliver. If you want people to dance, they are great for getting a party started. I also love their horns... That was the one thing I was looking for, great sound from horns, not some keyboard that could pipe in horns. THE TYPES OF MUSIC THEY PLAYED – like I said above, jazz during dinner & dance music later REQUESTS - We asked that they set up a couple hours before they had to play because we were getting married & having the reception at the same place, they were gracious and accommodating of that request. We asked that they dress up, they were all in suits. So whatever we asked, they did. They were laid back and easy to work with. I think we provided them with dinner, but they weren’t picky as to what they wanted for dinner, they were just happy with whatever. They didn’t request certain food or drinks. They were just happy and flexible. I would use them again. A lot of folks at the wedding asked about them because they liked them.

I was very pleased with the Groovetown Band. We gave them several challenges from unique music choices ( ACC fight songs ) and a few power surges.. they handled all of this with ease and made sure the party was a success. It was a pleasure to work with you and the GrooveTown band.

We totally LOVED Groovetown - they were totally flexible about music and style, played the crowd well, really listened to what we were interested in and delivered in spades... plus the drummer has an incredible voice. They let my dad play harmonica with them, which was one of the highlights of the wedding weekend for me.... he had so much fun with them, and it brought me so much joy. They are a top notch, professional crew that I would have back over and over again. Hope they are still around for our 10th anniversary so we can throw another bash!!

I want to let you know that the wedding was just incredible. You could really tell that everyone was just having the time of their lives and the band kept everyone dancing all night. We even requested that they stay and extra 2 hours because apparently the party just kept going long after my husband and I left! Groovetown was just awesome and the band members were just really cool and nice -- and they were totally enthusiastic about playing our requests. Thank you so much for your recommendation!

Hi Brandon, I hope you guys are doing well. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. It's been a busy few weeks. Let me start by saying that I have absolutely no doubt that no other band (well, possibly Aerosmith) would have made our wedding night any better. A pretty good indication is that many people that weren't even at the wedding have been telling me that they heard what a great band we had. You guys were incredibly versatile musically (thanks for Smoke On The Water and I am so, so sorry for The Chicken Dance). The wide selection of songs you covered were perfect, not only for the occasion, but to appease everybody's musical tastes. This affected me particulary because I was stressed about selecting the song list before the wedding. I was happy to turn that duty over to you guys, and I was ecstatic with the results. You had an amazing way of making everybody in the wedding feel comfortable and involved. Everytime I looked up you guys were interacting with people and watching them smile and laugh made the night that much better. The video of my wife's 90 year old grandmother dancing the whole night is proof enough. By the end of the night, I felt like I'd known all of you for a long time which made me appreciate you guys that much more. Thanks for an incredible experience. My wife and I are certain that the night was perfect largely due to you guys. Sincerely, Wally

GrooveTown was absolutely amazing! They were one of the best bands to dance to that I've ever seen. They could not have been better. Everyone was raving about them. They totally made the party ... Every single request was honored and they were more than happy to listen to requests from the audience and to shake things up. The MOST flexible and responsive band that we have worked with to date. (I) canncot say enough positive things about the band ... they were excellent; kept the excitement going, listened to the audience, bonded with the folks on the dance floor and made everybody smile. They were THE PERFECT party band. Just a great mix. Men, women, dancers, non-dancers all loved them. People who hadn't danced in years were on the floor. Unbelievable. They made our party.

They handled our event and made sure that they got all our names pronounced correctly when they introduced the wedding party. They really wanted to make sure our event was one to remember. Overall, the band was amazing. They are a group of very talented and skilled musicians that take a client's event seriously. Once they began their performance, they never missed a beat. People are still talking to us about how good the band was. They cover a wide variety of music that everyone will appreciate. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested.

You guys were great. So easy to work with and talk to. My guests are considering hiring you for a variety of other events. You did a wonderful job of playing fast and slow music and fulfilled my desire to get EVERYONE dancing. We loved it. Thank you!

The band rocked. I am SO glad that we picked them to play at our wedding. We had searched high and low for a good band, and really couldn't find one in the area. We drove to see them play and hired them the next day. My husband and I wanted a band that would play music to accomodate anyone, young or old. Everyone danced at our wedding the entire night. I had to be reminded to cut my cake three times because I couldn't stop dancing. They are well worth it. If I had to get a band for another event I would immediately call them up. Guests of our wedding have even booked them for an event next year! Highly recommended.

GrooveTown was the perfect band for our seaside wedding reception, playing all the best dance songs (and we have serious dancing friends) as well as a great array of beach music and classics. We could not have been happier with their professionalism, energy and quality of music!

We had a BLAST! Not only was the band charismatic and energetic, but we were highly impressed with their musical abilities and obvious talent. They had a vast repertoire of songs that entertained all ages (even my 80 year old grandmother was out there dancing!) My (new) husband and I received countless praises on the band selection, and everyone really enjoyed the costumes. Thank you again for making our evening so much fun!!
