Gentlemen and Their Lady

Artist ID: 687

How does one begin to describe a band that encompasses every format of music in their repertoire and has entertained at venues all over the world? For this talented group of eight, it starts with one word - Class! Since its inception over twenty years ago, Gentlemen & Their Lady have perfected the art of entertainment through numerous and varied appearances on stages from Las Vegas to Japan. Their ability to make a smooth transition between Rock and Soul, Oldies and Motown, Beach and Top 40, have made this group a renowned success with audiences all over the world. Their main goal in performing is to please!

Having shared the stage with such noted entertainers as Wayne Newton, Barbara Mandrell, and Lou Rawls, just to name a few, Gentlemen & Their Lady have found themselves in the company of national performers while entertaining corporate dignitaries all over the world. In the early seventies, they had the honor of being billed as the opening act for Jack Benny at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas; a kickoff to their continued success in many of the finest hotels and casinos in the city.

Moving across the country to the East coast, Gentlemen & Their Lady found success in yet another infamous city while performing their first record entitled "Party Bump". Not only did the increased performances in New York help the success of the record, but the large amount of airplayon WABC didn't hurt either!

When the thrill of disco left the scene in the early eighties, the group stuck around and made their way to Atlantic City, performing at Harrah's Marina Hotel & Casino, The Showboat Hotel & Casino and Caesars Palace in the Pocono's. Their soldout shows were proof positive that while disco may have died, Gentlemen & Their Lady could roll with the times! Their ability to entertain all types of audiences and diversify the type of music they play is one of their many attributes.

Having kept busy in the United States during the eighties, the group decided to accept an invitation to perform at the Monza resort in Okinawa, Japan for three months. The audiences at the five-star resort absolutely loved every minute of their performance -right down to the disco!

When the group finally descended on Las Vegas again after a 12 year hiatus, they first performed at the New Excaliber Hotel. Upon finishing their engagement, they were quickly booked again for January of 1993 & 1994. The group has also visited the Grand Cayman Islands for three weeks where they entertained resort guests with their renditions of the best loved music of all time. Grab your suitcase and get on the bandwagon!

With assets such as great diversity and high caliber professionalism, it is no small wonder that Gentlemen & Their Lady have and will continue to enjoy continued success in the years to come!

Hi Barry! We spoke throughout the course of my wedding planning and you helped me to book Gentlemen and Their Lady for my Friday, June 6 wedding at the Sanderling. I just wanted to let you know that they were absolutely amazing. The band was extremely professional, accommodating to all our requests and just fantastic all around. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and my husband and I danced so much that we didn't even eat our cake. I get more compliments on the band than anything else. I just would like to let you know how happy your company made our families and friends by providing a band that made everyone have the best time. I would also like you and the band to know that I would be more than happy to be a reference if anyone is ever considering booking them because I have nothing but the best things to say about the entire experience. So thank you again! Sincerely, Bernadette Mahar Harrington

Gentlemen and Their Lady were great! They played nice, jazzy music during supper that created a pleasant ambiance. Volume was perfect for the space and the audience all night - we could talk easily in the room, but they filled the space with sound. Once they switched to dance music, the group kept the dance floor full all night with a mix that worked for a crowd ranging from 20-somethings to 80-somethings. Most of the over-50 folks who tend to leave early were there right up until the end.

The band members were wonderful, warm people to work with. Phil was attentive to our needs for timing, announcements, and music types. Settling up was easy and painless.

All in all, a perfect choice. We would gladly have them again. Thanks for your help and good advice.

I just wanted to let you know that The Gentlemen and Their Lady was an AMAZING band! I have heard so many wonderful things about them from our guests and we all had a really great time. They kept the party going and I was thrilled that they were able to learn our song. Please pass on my gratitude for everything they did..they were wonderful!
Alison Rubinas

They were way beyond our expectations! They were charismatic, got the crowd going immediately, were engaging with the audience (but not too much so), and they learned a first dance song request in less than 2 weeks and played/sang it beautifully...WOW!! I can't tell you how pleased we are. Richard Colwell really WAS a gentleman; he called twice before the wedding to check on final preparations. The band was prompt, played a diverse group of songs and they weren't too loud! Probably 10 people asked me how to find them. Thank you so much and we'd be happy to serve as recommendations for anyone considering them.

They were AWESOME!!! I think I probably danced more than any bride ever has.... and by the end of the night, most of the guests were on the dance floor. Afterwards I had so many people saying how great the band was and how did I found out about them. Thank you for all of your help and of course much thanks to A Gentleman and Their Lady for a great night!
Anna Kusterer

Atlanta Racket Club

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the band for our sons engagement party we held here in Tarboro. They were so easy to work with. There were times when there wasn’t any room at all on the dance floor because so many people were dancing. Although they were a very professional group of individuals, it felt like they were part of the family. They were the talk of the town this week here in Tarboro, and we will definately invite them back to perform for us.
Barbara Lee

They were fantastic, very professional, looked and sounded great. Great raport with crowd, dance floor full all night, highly recommend.

My wedding festivities may be over, but I enjoy reflecting upon the entire weekend. The reception was just fabulous and I have the band, Gentlemen & Their Lady, to thank for that. They were fantastic and I want to thank you for your coordination. All throughout the evening of the reception to the present, guests have been remarking about how much they loved the band! They really made the party! They played all my favorites and really got everyone out on the dane floor (even my dad who won’t normally kick up his heels). I was also impressed that they practiced our song just as we needed it played (this was very important since we are not dancers and could only perform to exact specifications). I gladly recommend Gentlemen & Their Lady to anyone and I will have an occasion in the future to employ them again!
Cythnia Harris
