Kevin Davis and Ban Caribe provide an exciting blend of Latin, Caribbean, All American Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Pop and Motown music punctuated by driving percussion. This unique group brings all the color and excitement of the Islands to your event.

Formed in 1984 by native New Yorker Kevin Davis, the ensemble presents an unforgettable sound consisting of soulful singing and salsa rhythms which Kevin calls “Latin Soul”. Versatility allows Kevin and the band to perform a full evening of Latin/Caribbean music, popular American tunes, or a customized combination of both for your special event.

Ban Caribe performs at festivals, concerts, dances, conventions, parties and wedding receptions. They are happy to travel to any venue to conjure up tropical sands, balmy island breezes and the clear blue waters of paradise.

Kevin Davis, Master percussionist and singer, wins enthusiastic fans wherever he performs. After studying abroad in the Islands of Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, he relocated to Virginia to complete his formal education at Virginia State University. While there, he quickly fell into the music scene touring with artists throughout the Virginia, Washington DC and Baltimore areas. Currently residing in Richmond, VA, his love of Caribbean music led him to create the Ban Caribe ensemble in 1984.
