Mark Letson began his career in the Charlotte, NC office in 1991, booking EastCoast's roster of exclusive bands, then moving to Atlanta to develop EastCoast's National Talent Buying Division in 1994. Since 2000, Mark has been based out of EastCoast's headquarters, located in Richmond VA, while also helping launch EastCoast's satellite office in Washington, DC. He is an active member of IEBA, VFEA and ISES.
Mark's role as National Talent Buyer for EastCoast entails finding the right act for each event and negotiating the best deal possible. He finds the best artists available based on the type of event, budget, target demo and locale. Mark helps the client through the process of choosing the best band for the event, making an offer, negotiating rider requirements, production requirements, travel itineraries, day of show timelines and the countless details in between.
Over the course of Mark's career, he has booked legendary artists from James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles and Steely Dan to contemporary favorites like Maroon 5, Zac Brown, Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews and Tim McGraw. Averaging almost 200 shows produced annually, this list is only a sampling, but represents the wade array of artists we work with and events that we produce at EastCoast. Based on availability, budget and event, Mark and the team at EastCoast can produce anybody, anywhere.
Mark has booked thousands of national artists literally from coast to coast and around the world. From motorcycle rallys to fairs, festivals, series, corporate events, product rollouts and private engagements, he's always looking forward to the next challenging event.
Thank you for making me look like a super star the entire music line-up on all stages went fantastically.
My executive committee was thrilled! Lines like "we should have cut you lose a long time ago" and "you have the complete trust and support of the board going forward."-(yea I'll remember that one!)
In truth I owe much of this to you The Hunts and Midnight Movers were awesome. EVERYONE loved both.
All festival the biggest complaint I heard is "I want to be at both stages!" ARS what wonderful guys so nice to work with!! I think they sound fantastic they came as a threatening front was moving in and it did start to rain as they took the stage it progressively got worse. I wanted them down at least one or two songs before they stopped!
I think they are real troopers and they were so kind they wanted to go back up if at all possible but it wasn't.
As for booking these bands again - I would recommend these bands to any buyer.
We don't book bands consecutively and we let quite a few years go in-between.
The Hunts I would not be surprised if I did them again but don't think it would be next year.
Thank you for such nice sentiments and I love working with you. You are the unsung hero but not to me.
Please be on the lookout for next year!
