Music With Friends began in 2006 in Charlotte, North Carolina with a few friends who desired a better concert experience. Tired of only getting to see the performers that they wanted to see in large arenas with the stress of crowds and parking, they set out to create the ultimate music lover's concert experience.
Larry Farber, now Music With Friends' CEO, gathered together friends in the area and started to book artists that they wanted to see like Smokey Robinson and Boz Scaggs. In an effort to make these experiences as hassle-free and intimate as possible, they set the venue as the historic McGlohon Theatre in Uptown Charlotte. In April of 2007, Music With Friends put on its first show with artist Michael McDonald, followed by Gladys Knight and Tony Bennett later that year. Now, after nine successful seasons of unforgettable concert experiences, Music With Friends is excited to move into its tenth outstanding season with new artists and new locations.
