Named both as "Best Band" by Richmond Magazine, and "Best Cover Band" by STYLE Weekly for three years running (2011, 2012, and 2013), Three Sheets to the Wind is America's #1 Tribute to Yacht Rock.
Three Sheets to the Wind pays authentic tribute to AM Gold classics from the '70s and '80s--undoubtedly the smoothest music ever created by mankind. It was an era of high gas prices and oil embargos that led America back to the simple joys of sailing, pina coladas, moustaches, and love...sweet love.
The heartbeat of the band is short-shorted drummer Danny Marnier. Bass duties fall to steady shipmate Sonny Pockett, while manly keyboardist Walter Ego, guitarist Captain Max Power, and the ever-dapper multi-instrumentalist Topper Dandy rock you gently with their sincere vocal delivery and sweeter-than-TaB harmonies.
An excellent choice for the discerning event planner who "gets it," Three Sheets to the Wind boasts several wedding-related accolades including being named among the top 5% of wedding professionals from WeddingWire for 2013. The band considers itself to be the "wedding band for people who hate wedding bands," and looks forward to helping you create the greatest night of your life™.
When your party needs a little extra kick, Three Sheets to the Wind will appear with world renowned percussionist, Bobby Bravado, and four-piece brass section, The Rounding Cape Horns. Book at your own risk and hide your daughters, though, because the combined talents of this winsome ten-some are smoother than Billy Dee Williams--and rest assured that it works...every time. It's time to weigh anchor and sail away with Three Sheets to the Wind!

Graham - Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you school is a bit crazy right now. Three Sheets did an unbelievable job at the party. The outfits alone got everyone excited and once they started, the night got crazy. The music was perfect and everyone loved it. The party went all night and we will them back again soon.

Hey Graham, The party was a tremendous success. It was literally the best day party I've been to at UVa. The band was extremely laid back during setup and really flexible given our limited space on the lawn. As soon as the music started we knew we had made a great decision. The band had a a great sound and playlist, not to mention were the most hilarious musicians we've ever had at PIKA. Now that we know what yacht rock actually sounds like, we would definitely recommend them to other groups here. We owe a big thanks to you and East Coast for sending them our way. Three Sheets was the freshest act that's come through PIKA in awhile and we'll certainly get them again! Best,
Social Chair, UVA PiKA
Thank you for putting on an incredible show! I don't think I've ever seen a Maymont crowd happier with a band. Thanks for bearing with us through the technical difficulties, and for creatively dealing with the challenges. The conga line during our generator troubles was inspired. You guys were a blast to have at the event, and you were a pleasure to work with. Please feel free to use us as a reference - I'll tell everyone they have to book you for their next big event! - Kristen B.
It was by far the best party I've been to at Sweet Briar (and I've been to about 95% of them...and I'm not saying that because I was a co-host, either! Having y'all there made the party!! What really made y'all stand out was how y'all interacted with us. I LOVED that. Anyone can hook up their computer and play music, but it takes talent to entertain as well. I'm sure you'll be back at Sweet Briar soon! -Mary Elizabeth H.
Hey Graham - Three Sheets to the Wind was absolutely incredible. I haven't seen our bunker that packed in a while and everyone loved their style and stage presence. They knew how to put on a spectacular show and it was kind of a different genre and feel from what we have gotten recently which was cool. They do yacht rock superbly.

Hey Graham - Sorry for the delay on the report for the band. I just wanted to let you know that they were great. I think that the alumni had a great time and we sure loved listening to the music. The band was very easy to work with and lots of fun. I would certainly book them again for just about any event. - Thanks for setting this up,

Girlfriends became wives, wives became girlfriends, ascots became "ass"ier, gym shorts became shorter, smooth became smoother, but above all, we all became Three Sheets to the Wind. You guys absolutely rocked! This Harvey's Bristol Creme and Fresca, (hereafter known as the "Three Sheets to the Wind") is to you!
Commodore, Stuart, FL
Thanks so much, Topper! It was a night no one will forget and people are still talking about your stellar performance. The ambience couldn't have been better with the ocean breeze in the background as wedding guests danced their butts off. Some comments we've received since the wedding:
"I realized that after this the only thing you need to have a fun wedding is a great band." - Aunt
"They got someone to dance for hours who normally steers clear of the dance floor." - Guest
"I can't keep my feet still when I hear the smooth sounds of Three Sheets!" - Bride
I think these simple statements prove that you guys know how to take a party to that next level... a level at which we wanted to be! We can't thank you enough for traveling down to the beach and showing our guests one hell of a good time. We look forward to visiting you at the Republic soon and anywhere else you may be.
Please let us know if you need anything else from us. Hope to see you soon!!
Thanks a million times over!

Three Sheets did a phenomenal job playing at our wedding after-party. Even though my feet hurt, I could not stop dancing! This group has amazing energy, perfect sound, and an incredible set list. Our friends and family are STILL raving about this band, months later. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved working with Three Sheets to the Wind! They were incredibly fun and made the wedding! All my friends and my family's friends were talking about was the band. They played amazing music and did a great job of keeping the party going! I would use them again in a heart beat!

Three Sheets made the party for us! We were looking to host a celebration of the day, our families and friends who led us to that day and to each other. We wanted a fun time, light and not too stuffy and Three Sheets was perfect! They offered to learn any song for our first dance and even played some beautiful music for us during the ceremony for the prelude and recessional. The following party was great and the band interacted with us and our guests making for a great time by all! The planning process was crisp, the band was on-time and prepared and packed up quickly to allow the space to be cleaned to close out the rental. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a fun, light and celebratory reception!

EVERYONE was dancing! I work in the restaurant industry and our wedding of 200 was an eclectic mix of grandparents and older family mixed with young 24 year old tattooed folks with nose rings and EVERYONE DANCED! Three Sheets is fun, energetic, great at reading the crowd and getting people on their feet. The guys were very professional. Punctual on the day of, and very communicative leading up to the day. Would highly recommend!

Three Sheets to the Wind is the epitome of a dream wedding vendor!! I would give them 6 stars if I could! I can't say enough positive things about working with them. From the beginning when we booked them they were always flexible, responsive, and listened to what we wanted. They learned a new song, at no extra charge, for our first dance and it was one of the highlights of the night for sure. They were never difficult or picky about what was needed from their end. They make it a point to be a fun-loving group of talented guys who simply want to give your guests an unforgettable night. After our wedding my aunt said, "After tonight, I realized that the only thing you need in order to have a fun wedding is an amazing band." Book them if you want the dance floor filled all night long. We can't thank them enough!

From planning to execution, it's always a pleasure to work with Three Sheets to the Wind on our annual fundraiser, Massey on the River. They are always willing to work with us to make the event entertaining as well as philanthropic. We so appreciate their efforts each year on behalf of Massey. Always great to know in partnering with Three Sheets, your event quickly becomes the must-attend event of the season!

I had a wonderful experience working with Topper in the lead-up to the wedding event itself. He's extremely responsive, accommodating and informative. On the wedding day, Topper was an outstanding MC'er too. The music itself was absolutely fantastic - the genres of music they play appeal to everyone - your parents, your friends, the 30 year old frat stars, your 21 year old hipster cousin from LA, even your great aunt Marge. Their execution is fun, flawless and - not to be overlooked - their audio guy is exceptional too. Your guests will have an amazing time, everyone who interacts with them (your coordinator, your mother-in-law, etc.) will have a positive experience. 100% emphatic recommendation.

Three Sheets to the Wind is amazing, and I can not recommend this band enough! As an event coordinator, Three Sheets is the best band you could ask for... they're accommodating and have great energy, they play songs that will get everyone dancing, and they appeal to all age groups. I recommend this band to all of my event hosts and brides, and enjoy them so much that I go see them locally whenever I can!
I recently coordinated for Three Sheets to play at an event for our members, and we have never received such glowing feedback. Everyone was on the dance floor nonstop, and the consensus was that the band was the highlight of the night. I have seen countless bands in my line of work, and can honestly say that when the time comes for me to get married, I wouldn't want anyone else to play my reception.

I had the best time on Saturday and the reviews have been coming in as "great", "so fun", "perfect", "totally awesome"! That is in part largely to you and your band of merry men! You guys were spectacular and beyond easy to work with!
You are all top of the list of party must haves!
Thank you again for making my 40th beyond bodacious!

Norfolk Yacht & Country Club - Birthday Party
I hired Three Sheets to the Wind to play at a surprise birthday party, and I could not be more pleased. Particularly impressive was their execution of a tricky Beatles song that they learned specifically for the party. Three Sheets went beyond all my expectations and made the event truly unique and memorable. Good luck trying to find a more talented, clever, and ridiculously sexy group of musicians! Rock on (softly) boys.
