Party City Band burst onto the New Orleans music scene in the Fall of 1997. It was formed by Joseph"JoJo" Caldwell and Marie Dorsey to perform various functions in and out of town, not realizing at the time that they would soon become one of the best bands New Orleans has to offer. Performing across the United States and around the World for years Party City Band has the experience and the know how to take your party or club event to its' fullest potential. They cover songs from all major genre's: Motown, R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Rock, Soul, Country, Disco, Big Band Swing, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Gospel, as well as playing the most current songs on the radio with a mix of their original music. Party City Band is currently the highest requested band for Corporate Events, Private Functions, Weddings and Special Events. The combined talents of these individuals create a soulful, funky style of music with a rock edge that simply leaves audiences captivated. They can set the evening with warm easy listening music then set the stage a blaze with their feet-tapping and finger-snapping up tempo dance tunes. Once in a blue moon a band comes along that offers the perfect combination of raw energy, polish and sheer entertainment value to ensure a memorable event.

Party City Band has performed at the SUPERBOWL XL Pre-Game Party at the Henery Ford Museum in Detroit and at SUPERBOWL XXXVI Pre-Game Party in the Louisiana SuperDome. In addition every member of Party City Band has had the honor of performing with such well known artist as Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Boyz II Men, Chicago, Chris Thomas King, Bo Diddley, Marva Wright, Allen Touissant, Jean Knight, Chris Owens, Tyrone Davis, The Ohio Players, Toni Braxton, Teena Marie, George Clinton and The P-Funk Allstars.
