After more than two decades of bringing audiences to their feet, the band LIQUID PLEASURE, has become a multi-cultural icon. Even from the beginning and through the present, LIQUID PLEASURE has never desired to follow the dream path of most bands. That is, being a major recording entity. Sometimes when they are traveling on the road, the guys get in a nostalgic mood, remembering the times past. “When we were still playing the college circuit heavily, with groups like Hootie and The Blowfish and REM,. The Spinners were even scheduled to warm up for us once”, said veteran member, Melvin Farrington. Although, in 1981, when they did record an album, the band immediately focused back on what had been their mainstay from the beginning, the dance and show circuit.

This band of guys who have been like brothers, love being in touch with people like them, who love a variety of good music, and appreciate hearing it performed live, by a great dance and show band. In the early years the band was paired with greats like, Chuck Berry, Eddie Floyd and Ben E. King and later, Whitney Houston, The Four Tops, TheTempations and Aretha Franklin. Definitively, LIQUID PLEASURE has always been a hot ticket! I doubt if they realized that they were growing up with people who would remain loyal fans for years to come.

The fans that grew up with The Temptations, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin and LIQUID PLEASURE, are now in charge of corporate America. When they want to be reminded of better times, they party with LIQUID PLEASURE. Kenny’s wisecracks and comedy along with mesmerizing choreography are synchronized with the band’s great blend of music.

The reward for their patience has been great! LIQUID PLEASURE has set a new standard. With no album high on the charts to boost them, LIQUID PLEASURE is a marketing phenomenon. By word of mouth only, they are the most accomplished band in their circuit. They performed for former President Bill Clinton’s Inaugural Ball and that of current North Carolina Governor, Mike Easley. The RAVENS Football team, had a Super Bowl blast in 2000 with LIQUID PLEASURE at the helm! They are the regular choice for entertainment at the PANTHER’s house. I’ll bet the HORNETS basketball team even credit LIQUID PLEASURE with making their day in the 2000 and 2001 NBA finals. Without a doubt, HURRICANES 2001 New Year’s Eve party, was one to remember! Sports, Corporate, Private, and just about any other venue are no challenge for LIQUID PLEASURE.

Letters pour in all the time from satisfied clients. Corporations like Budweiser, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, American Express, SAS Corporation and Barron’s Securities Corporation, have signed on the dotted line to insure that the entertainment for their function was a guaranteed success. Announcements of LIQUID PLEASURE’s scheduled appearance at fundraisers for The American Heart Association, Make A Wish Foundation and The Special Olympics added to their success.

LIQUID PLEASURE, Bringing Fun and Excitement to People Who Want to Have a Great Time!

Liquid Pleasure was great.  They packed the house, even though we had to move the event indoors and they were awesome at engaging the audience.  I've heard nothing but good feedback about them.  Very professional.  Thanks!

Event Planner

Many many thanks for your help in getting Liquid Pleasure to play for Cameron and Curtis' wedding!  They were absolutely incredible and exceeded all of our expectations .   We were so surprised and thrilled when they announced part way through the the evening that they had special guests joining them and 2 of their female vocalists joined them on stage.  It was already over the top and so fun but when they came on stage, it took it to an even higher level!  I am not sure how that happened - I imagine we have you to thank for that nice surprise !   Many people said it was the best reception they had been to - the band was a major part of that!   Thanks again so much for all of your help!  I hope to see you soon and Happy New Year!

Please  tell Kenny and the band that they made our day. They were and have always been phenomenal !!!! The wedding would've been not near as great without them.

Thanks again

Have 2 more girls to go. So you'll hear from me again.

Novant Health Foundation Fundraiser

I cannot thank you enough for your assistance in reserving Liquid Pleasure for Miracle Night. Not only were they FANTASTIC and EVERYONE was dancing, they were so polite and accommodating and wonderful all around. I hate that you missed out this year, I have been hearing rave reviews about the band and the party being the best yet! Again, thank you, THANK YOU! Perhaps we should go ahead and get them on the books for next year?!

Liquid Pleasure was AMAZING! Staff and members all loved them!

They were very personal and very complimentary of the Club.

Hope to have them back again!

Liquid Pleasure was great! But I spent 4 years watching them in Chapel Hill, so I had no doubt they would be :)

Everyone had a fabulous time, and our friends and family who don't normally dance were out there having a blast.

Thanks so much! It was perfect!

Mother of the Bride

They were wonderful! People danced from the beginning to the end. They kept the volume at a level that was low enough to suit me but kept the young people happy. They handled the first dance, father/daughter dance, the cake cutting, bouquet toss and leave taking perfectly. We couldn't have been happier!

They were amazing and everyone at the party danced until the very end. My favorite band ...They definitely took it to the next level. The band made the party!

Thanks for all your help and good advice!

Mother of the Bride

The sound was awesome, the song selection was perfect (as far as I could tell), and they did a great job interacting with the bride and groom and the guests. The dance floor was completely full the entire time! Elizabeth (the bride) commented that people "raved and raved and that Liquid Pleasure was the best band that they had ever seen"! I thought we had asked for one female vocalist but there were three and they added so much to the band.

Please thank Kenny Mann and the band members for doing such a fantastic job. As we know, the band makes the party! Also, having them play for three hours straight kept the party going and lots of our friends stayed until the bitter end. Thanks so much Ted, and we hope to engage you for another wedding at some point.

Charlotte Country Day

We have a long history with Kenny Mann and Liquid Pleasure that goes back 25 years. As this this was my last prom due to retirement, Kenny arranged as a surprise for me instead of a 9 piece band a 12 piece band and 3 vocalists; it was an evening I will never forget. Kenny is the "Man" that's for sure and to book Liquid Pleasure is to be certain your guests will have a fabulous time. This band is timeless and suits all ages. In my case our prom is for juniors and seniors, and the juniors were leaving prom that evening asking me to try and get Liquid Pleasure for next year. Just to show you how popular they are with our kids the seniors have been fortunate to have had Liquid Pleasure both years. The students not only like the music; they find the band members crowd friendly and engaging unlike other bands I have dealt with over the years, and they genuinely like young people. The prom wasn't over until midnight and Kenny kept them all dancing until then. Liquid Pleasure is also a "little bit of heaven."

University Gala

Hi! Everything was great as always! I will send the pictures as soon as we get them. Please thank the band members for a great job. Our guests rave about them every year like it's the first time we've ever had them. I think it's about the 5th year in a row now.

Thanks again for everything!

Dartmouth Reunion

Dear Graham - On June 18, 2011, I attended my 25th reunion at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Approximately 400 members of the Dartmouth Class of 1986 attended the reunion (40% of the entire graduating class!) and more than 900 people in total attended, including spouses and children.

Little did we know how lucky we were that the organizers of the weekend had booked Liquid Pleasure as the band for Saturday night.

I had never heard of Liquid Pleasure prior to Saturday night, but now that I've heard them (and danced my tail off to them!), I can tell you that I highly recommend them for any occasion, particularly an occasion where the guests like to get out of their seats and really participate in the dancing. The music that they played was extremely appropriate for the crowd, many of whom hadn't seen each other in 25 years and were looking forward to dancing as they had danced a quarter of a century prior on frat row at Dartmouth. As the band will tell you if you asked them, we looked pretty darn good for a bunch of 47 and 48 year olds (especially the women are very well preserved!!!).

Many things impressed me about Liquid Pleasure. First, they were appropriately dressed in white sequined outfits with a nice green stripe (Dartmouth's school colors are green and white!). They had obviously put some thought into their outfits and that was very much appreciated. (Harvard crimson, Yale blue, or Brown would not have been a good color choice if you know what I mean!). Second, they were playing exactly the right kind of music for the people they were playing for -- they understood the audience and they played the music which that audience enjoyed hearing and dancing to. Third, they made everyone feel at home so that people could dance with their children too (most of those children had to be hauled onto the dance floor because they had never seen their parents behaving so strangely!). Fourth, they played for three hours straight (literally).

Mother of the Bride

I would like to second my daughter's remarks regarding Liquid Pleasure's performance this weekend. They were truly amazing...the best ever!!!!! Not only are their music and performing terrific, but they are so very interactive and engaging with the guests, young and old, that the experience becomes much more personal and festive. The play list appealed to all ages and even had the adult "cripples" with bad hips and knees out on the dance floor enjoying themselves and feeling young again! They relived a bit of their youth with Motown, Michael Jackson and other artists! Needless to say, the younger guests (and bride and groom) never wanted them to stop playing. I had the opportunity to talk a bit with Kenny, who is a great guy and real professional. Please give him and the entire band our regards and sincere thank you for an extra-special event!

St. Simons Cotillion

Liquid Pleasure was awesome! They were fantastic to work with, so agreeable and accommodating. This is the first Cotillion any of us remember the Cloister having to blink the lights to get people to leave! Usually, the bands we book are gone at least 30 minutes before the end of the contracted playing time. The dance floor was still packed at 11 pm. People were begging Kenny to stay! Because everyone was having so much fun with Kenny and the band, everyone stayed and visited while the band packed up. I was at a Cotillion meeting last night, and the ladies were still talking about Liquid Pleasure and quoting various members of the band! I think Elizabeth sold some rooms for New Years Eve!

St. Simons Cotillion would recommend Liquid Pleasure to everyone! All age groups were engaged and enjoyed the evening thanks to Liquid Pleasure!

On a personal note, I appreciate them sending me out on such a positive note! This was my final event as chairperson of Cotillion. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and for Cotillion.

Donna G.

Liquid Pleasure once again put on a great performance and lived up to the crowd's, and our, expectations!! It was great that all the young guests knew and loved the band from all their years in college and that was one more thing that built enthusiasm for the weekend ahead of time ... a treat for them to look forward to! It was a great night and the floor was packed and rockin right through the last song! And please thank them again for learning "Warm Love" and "You are the Sunshine of my Life" for the first dance and the father/daughter dance. We think they were the perfect choices!!

Hope to see LP in Lexington at the end of October at W&L Parent's Weekend ... they have become a tradition at the Phi Delt house! - All the best,

Peggy A.

I have no words to describe the greatness that is Liquid Pleasure. Thanks to the amazing group, people in Roanoke will be talking about our wedding for years to come. They delivered exactly what we wanted and we couldn't be happier. When they played "We are Family" and Joe and I danced surrounded by every single person we love.....well, I'll never forget it. On time, professional, welcoming.

Worth every single dime and more. Joe and I would be happy to write a testimonial or review if that is something you ever need. Thanks so much for all your help!
