Larry the Cable Guy is often asked about his name. When questioned of its origins, he simply states " 'Cause my name's Larry and I used to install cable." Larry The Cable guy has made a name for himself not just as a top-rate standup comedian, but also as an actor, voice actor, and radio personality.

As a stand-up comedian, Larry developed his act into a pun-slinging, dirty joke telling, and utterly hilarious southern comedy extravaganza. Larry the Cable Guy received mainstream notoriety as a "redneck comic" following the famous Blue Collar Comedy Tour starring himself alongside veteran comics Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White. Larry Cable Guy has released seven comedy albums, three of which are RIAA certified gold.

In addition to his stand-up comedy work, Larry has worked as a voiceover in Disney's Cars movies, as well as starring on two television programs, Only In America with Larry The Cable Guy, and Comedy Central's Blue Collar TV.
