Join the Jesters of Jive for Zoot Suit Boogie, a show that celebrates a time when Zoot Suits were the rage and swing was king! It'll be hard to keep your feet still when the horns start hoppin' and the drums start boppin,' as the Jesters recall all the fun and hilarity of masters of wit: Cab Calloway, Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Tommy Dorsey, Louis Jordon, as well as some wonderfully witty lesser known gems brought back in contemporary style!

Known for her infusion of mirth into jazz music, Funny Jazz Chick, Joan Crowe, has assembled some of New York's hippest and zaniest jazz cats in this horn driven 8-member band. Influenced by the jump and swing bands of the 1940's including Count Basie, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and The Dorsey Brothers, the Jester Of jive also draw repertoire from the 1990's swing revival bands such as Cherry Poppin Daddies, Brian Setzer, Royal Crown Review and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. The show incorporates professional jazz dancers to inspire and impress. And a Louis Armstrong mimic to create a show right out of a golden age. This music helped a generation get out of a great depression and is sure to work its magic one more time!
