Being born to greatness doesn't guarantee that greatness will be passed on, but in this case it's undeniable. Born the daughter of legendary soul singer, songwriter, actor and music producer Isaac Hayes, Heather Hayes has greatness flowing systemically through her veins.
In the spring of 2004 Heather formed The Heather Hayes Experience with four of Atlanta's most seasoned musicians. The guys have many impressive credits of their own and have recorded and toured with artists like Madonna, Cameo, Bobby Brown, George Clinton, India Arie and Whitney Houston extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
Heather has taken the crowd-pleasing formula of her professional experience and combined it with a soul-stirring band for a combination that's simply outstanding. The group's instrumentation and vocal ability allows a flexibility that's a hit at any event. This is one band you don't want to miss!
Heather Hayes did a wonderful job!! Everyone was once the dance all night long and had a fabulous time. I have had more people comment to me on how great the band was!! -Kai K.
Saturday night was unbelievable! The Bride, Groom and their Guests danced all night. The Band knew just how to get things started and how to keep the party going. We had dancers from 2 years old to 70 years old. It was like being back at college!
At the beginning, I stood up and welcomed the group and introduced the band. I told the guests a great reception could only happen if we had a great band and they put on their "happy feet". The band didn't let us down, and neither did our guests. I hope the band enjoyed their evening as much as everyone there. Please thank them for me. Sincerely,
Amazing! They are superstars and our crowd went wild!!! DJ rocked and Heather and the gang joined the AfterParty! Couldn't aske for more! -Syril K.
We loved Heather Hayes and the guys! They did an excellent job performing, and I got a lot of complements from my sisters on how they thought that they were a great band. They created a wonderful atmosphere and everyone had so much fun. Thank you for your help, and we'd love to possibly have them again in the future. -Lindsay L
That was the best wedding I have ever attended. And I'm not just saying that because it was my own -- as Jeff knows, if anything, I am more critical of my own work and efforts than anyone else's. As you know, I put a lot in your hands without providing much instruction, and man did you all deliver. The first dances were fabulous. Heather and the band did a fantastic job of breaking it down toward the end of Signed, Sealed, Delivered and we had 30 people on the dance floor -- at least -- up there with us to kick off the dancing. The first set was perfect -- the 5 year old flower girl and my dad's 70 year old friends were all dancing, and I had a special dance with my 10 year old cousin to What a Wonderful World. The music was perfect for every age. The leis and sunglasses came out during the break, and the band kicked off the second set with a bang. It was the most incredible dance party -- the floor was PACKED. The most unbelievable thing to me was that my 75 year old dad was ON THE STAGE dancing to TI waving his hands around with the band. My 10 year old cousin also sang an entire song with Heather; you will have to just ask them about that. It was indescribable. And they played the most fabulous encore that pulled as many folks as would fit on the stage: Empire State of Mind. During the second set, people I didn't even know were coming up to tell me that they'd never had so much fun at a wedding. But most importantly, my dad was clearly having the best night of his life. He danced to every single song and stayed until the very end. He
