Born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina, Calvin Taylor joined the Original Drifters in 1979. As a member of the Drifters, Calvin played with BB King, Maurice Williams, Junior Walker and opened for national artists like Joe Cocker, B. B. King, Eddie Right and many more. Calvin also worked with former lead singer of the Temptations, Dennis Edwards. For the last year, Calvin has performed solo and with his band all along the East Coast, entertaining audiences from young to old. He is known for connecting with is audience, bringing his magnetic personality and incredible voice to every event. |
