Bama Gamblers Band

ARTIST ID: 32232

Auburn, AL based rock-n-roll band, The Bama Gamblers, continue to grow into one of the better known bands in the "Chitlin' Circuit" of the South East. Since the forming of the band two years ago, The Gamblers have shared the stage with notable artists such as: Casey Donahew Band, Benjy Davis Project, Blackberry Smoke, The Vegabonds, J.J. Grey and Mofro, American Aquarium, and The North Mississippi All-Stars. Founding members Matt Alemany (guitar), Forrest Fleming (drums), and Bo Flynn (Bass- Lead Vox) welcomed two new brothers to the band at the end of last year. Matt Kooken, an Atlanta native with a knack for songwriting and a polished sound on his Fender Strat, pushed the band to the sound they have been determined to find since the forming of the band. Eric Baath, a veteran pianist and world traveler, joined the family after being introduced to the boys by award winning singer/songwriter, Tony Brook in late 2012. With the new line-up the boys performed to a near sold-out crowd at the legendary Exit/In in Nashville TN, then sold out Zydeco in Birmingham, AL the next evening. As for this coming summer and fall, The Gamblers are scheduled to play all over the south east including festivals in Florida and South Carolina. After recording their first E.P. "The Print Shop Sessions" with notable Nashville engineer David Gulliver (ZZ Top, George Jones) in 2012, the boys realized they had far too much to say to be covered in a 6 song EP.

The Bama Gamblers are scheduled to record their first full album in the summer of 2013 with the new, finalized line-up in Atlanta, Georgia, and Daniel Allen of The Vegabonds acting as Producer.
