Thompson & Blake, the flute and classical guitar duo, have been performing together since 1992. This husband and wife, Richmond-based duo performs regularly in various capacities around the state, including performances at the Virginia Museum, Shenandoah University, The University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University and Randolph Macon College. They are regular performers at the Celtic Evensong Services at both St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and River Road Baptist Church.
Thompson & Blake's repertoire consists of traditional classical music ranging from Renaissance to Modern, original compositions, folk music from around the world with an emphasis on Celtic music, and the lighter worlds of Jazz and Pop. As composers, the duo is always happy to make arrangements of favorite songs, usually at no additional cost. Their versatility and range makes them particularly well suited for weddings and receptions. The charming combination of flute and classical guitar lends a lovely ambiance to any sacred or celebratory occasion.
