Jafar Curry is now the newest member of the London Music Group (LMG)! After a 10 year tenure in the music industry and multiple record labels, Jafar as found a home and what he calls "an exciting new opportunity". Jafar Curry has been touring overseas for quite some time introducing audiences all over the world to his unique sound all the while managing, performing in and promoting his newest live band creation 'tHe sOuNdLiBs'. This signing of Jafar to the LMG comes on the wings of a much anticipated release from his original band and a 4 year recording hiatus that is sure to yield a new and exciting musical chapter in the career of an independent and now major player on music scene. Jafar says "After two releases - namely my first full length album 'Thoughts from My Room', I felt as though I prepared myself for the major label gig. I've definitely been here before and I have a great deal of respect for the way LMG does business." Jafar will be living in Auckland and recording most of the LMG's project there. Jafar adds "I may use songs I've written in the last four years on my own and with others to launch the major release, but I may write all new tunes. I'm really not sure as to how I feel about that yet, but I would like to hear production that I've never heard before." After corporate gigs at casinos, on cruise ships, stadium stages and at resorts, two i-Tunes releases and a resume that bolsters names like Rick Springfield, Akon, NPR, Clear Channel Broadcasting and The Orlando Orchestra; Jafar seems to be ready to make his first official major label debut under BGM/Sony distributed London Music Group. It is still early going for this 20-something gentleman. With such a wide repertoire of songs, the Jafar Curry Band is sure to please and will be awesome for your next event.
