Once in a great while, an act appears that is so unique, so exciting and so entertaining that it becomes a legend in its own time. Such is the case with a phenomenon called DOUG CLARK's HOT NUTS! In 1955 a group of high school students from Chapel Hill, N.C., organized a musical group known as "The Tops." A year later, after playing fraternity parties at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and getting to be known for their wild and exciting performances, the group's name was changed to DOUG CLARK AND THE HOT NUTS. As the name HOT NUTS began to penetrate the entertainment world, the group began to perform at almost every major college and university from New Hampshire to Florida and as far west as Texas and Colorado.

John Clark sings to a wild fraternity party crowd. Although the HOT NUTS are known nation-wide for their fraternity parties, their versatility has placed them in constant demands for proms, college dances, military clubs, night clubs, concerts and other musical functions. The group presently consists of six members and does dance and show sets. Dance sets consist of Beach, Top 40, Boogie, Soul and Rock and Roll music. Show sets, which are optional, consist of material from nine adult comedy albums, recorded by the HOT NUTS. Four of these albums were rated in the top ten best sellers in Billboard On Campus Magazine. Even after 41 years of performing, DOUG CLARK's HOT NUTS are still one of the best entertainment packages in the business today!
