Crybaby (formerly known as The Stephanie Morgan Quartet) honors and mocks the greats of jazz and r&b by delivering creative arrangement and dynamic performance of the standards. Singer Stephanie Morgan chooses songs from the 1920's to the present; we bring youthful but classy interpretations that are heavily influenced by the pop culture of the past 20 years (that's what we know best). We are a highly danceable band, re-creating each song every time it's performed. We come as a quartet, but can easily size up or down to include horns and the works... whatever budget and setting allow. The music works inseparably with the audience's energy! We play weddings, swing dances, and all kinds of other events. The band's members also have a touring original music band called Stephaniesid, based in Asheville, NC.
